Easter Sunday

For the second time ever, Levi allowed his father and me to stay in the sanctuary for the entire church service.  How nice that he slept the whole time on Easter of all days!  After church my parents joined us for dinner at our house.  Then we went down to Great Grannie's house for an egg hunt and dessert.  Maybe next year he'll be interested in all the plastic eggs!
Levi's first sweater vest.  Such a big boy!

A handsome boy, right?

First time at the Puyallup Fair!  Actually it was just the Spring Fair, but he enjoyed himself for the most part.
He hung out with his grandfather while I performed with the Shaw Road Staff Drum Team.

Levi's Baptism

Levi was baptized at Evangelical Reformed Church on Sunday, April 10th, 2010.  Welcome to the Lord's family, Levi!

Pastor Rich Hamlin, Jr.

So many family members came to help celebrate!  Grouped from left: Stephen and Bob Gorham; Stephanie, Steve, Garret, and Ethan Wright; Beth and Brian Garrett; Jennifer, Nathan, and Levi Gorham; Ruth Garrett, Margaret Easterbrooks, Harold Garrett; John, Amy, and Madison Pepper; Kevin, Randy, and Jill Poleskie.

Levi's baptismal gown was worn by his Great-great-great-grandfather on the Easterbrooks side.
This blanket was crocheted--and nearly completed--for her grandchild by Mary Gorham before she died.
Nathan and I had only just gotten married when she started it; apparently she was hopeful.
Stephanie Wright finished the edges.  We were glad to have a reminder of Mary at this special occasion.

After the baptism we hosted a reception for everyone.

Two-Month Check-Up

Today we went back to the pediatrician's office for our well baby check-up.  Levi is exactly nine weeks old.  He surprised us by weighing in at a beefy 12 pounds 2 ounces.  He is 24 inches long, and his head circumference is 39 centimeters.  What a big boy!  . . . Actually, he is a very healthy size.  Our doctor doesn't give specifics about percentiles; however, by my calculations, Levi is in about the 80th percentile for length, 60th percentile for weight, and 40th percentile for head circumference.  We're very pleased!

Two Months Old

Goings-On

Levi LOVED playing with Daddy while sitting n his Bumbo chair!

That's just like him: sleeping when you'd think he'd be awake
(like when he's about the be bathed) and wearing his bib like a cape.

Carmen, Bass, and Vivienne Van Soest joined us for dinner on April 1st.

Vivienne (11 months) and Levi (7 weeks)

On April 2nd Levi and I participated in a style show at church.
His style?  As cute as can be.  My style?
Stay-at-home-mom-of-a-newborn . . . extra-large burp cloth and all!

His Own Room

Now that he is a mature eight weeks old, Levi has moved into his own bedroom.  For the past two nights, he has slept just fine in his crib instead of the bassinet in our room.  We've gotten so used to having a nightlight on for our midnight feedings that it has been strange to sleep with all the lights turned off.
