First Hair Cut

Levi loves standing on the couch in the front window.

Thank you, Boston family, for this great shirt!  I wonder
what school he'll attend seventeen years from now?

Levi's hair was starting to get a little too long in back and on the sides, so Nathan decided today was the day to give him his first hair cut.  He used his clipper set to trim just a little off.  It proved to be a difficult task since Nathan was "trying to hit a moving target."  Levi wasn't bothered by the clippers; he wanted to see what was making all that noise and what Daddy was doing behind him.  Can you tell the difference between the before and after pictures?  Thankfully it wasn't a drastic change.  Nathan did a good job.

Nine Month Appointment

Levi went to the doctor today.  It was an easy check-up.  We didn't really have any concerns since Levi's spitting up/reflux has improved dramatically during the past couple of weeks.  They measured his height at 29.5 inches (about the 88th percentile), his weight at 20 pounds 8 ounces (50th percentile) and head circumference at 45 centimeters (I don't know what percentile that is).  I felt sure that he would have been taller and weighed more than he does because he just seems like such a big boy; however, it looks like he's continuing to be tall and thin but sturdy.  One thing's for sure: he's pretty cute!

Nine Months Old

Now that he is nine months old, Levi is experimenting with a lot of fun vocal sounds and stringing together fascinating combinations of syllables.  He is not at all interested in crawling, but he can almost run when he uses his walker.  This evening he laughed and laughed as he kicked a little football all around the house.  It has been fun watching him grow and change so much in the past couple of weeks!
Our typical monthly milestone picture

While we were taking pictures, Levi decided to lean over and grab his bedtime book.

A fun new game: drop the toy!

"Mommy, pick it up!"

I couldn't resist a hat with bear ears!

My son is a real basket case.

Levi's First Halloween

For Halloween this year, we decided to skip the trick-or-treating, but I couldn't resist dressing Levi up in a cute little costume.  Our little tiger has a lot of teeth now; after his two front teeth came in nearly two weeks ago, he got three new teeth this past weekend.  Now we're up to seven, and I'm sure the eighth isn't far behind.  This week he has been hot and cold as far as his mood is concerned.  Sometimes he gets really angry, but other times he just laughs and laughs.  I guess that's what growing up is all about!

Silly tiger!

Look at his curly tail!  It's just like our cat, Oliver!

Playtime on a sunny fall morning

After he had finished nearly all of his lunch, I gave Levi this bowl
with some cereal still in it.  He really had fun trying to eat it all!

resist blowing raspberries on the glass.
