Hand's On Children Museum

On April 10th, Bob joined us for a trip to the Olympia Children's Museum.  The boys were adventuresome this time.  When we first arrived, Micah took off running down the hall to the flashing lights of the police car.  We had a few poor behavior choices, and we were all pretty tired afterward, but it was a fun time!
Love the fire truck.  Levi probably stayed in here for 15 minutes.

Feeding a baby in the emergency room.

Working at the diner and serving lunch to Grandpa with a huge side of ketchup.

Please don't let this be the last time they perform onstage together!

Levi and Grandpa are manning the sound booth.

I sent Levi into the maze thinking he would climb around to the eagle's nest.  After several minutes and he still didn't appear, I climbed in there after him.  I found him happily sitting in this net overlooking the water activities.

Micah went crazy running around outside!

Easter 2015

Easter began with our annual Easter party at Grandpa Gorham's house.  We were so glad that Owen and Hailey could join us for egg dying and egg hunting!

On Easter Sunday I asked the boys to smile for the camera.  It began with Micah giving a nice smile and Levi being goofy.  Watch how Micah tried to imitate Levi in the pictures that follow.

Brunch with my parents, Bob, and Stephen.  Despite the oven going on the fritz in the middle of meal prep, we had two different quiches, roasted veggies, fresh veggies, fruit salad, blueberry cream cheese danishes, and resurrection rolls.  I served it on Nathan's grandmother Velma's china.  Oh, and we had mimosas, too!
A little egg hunting in the backyard.

April Mystery Mondays

Week 1: Clark's Creek Park, Puyallup
Week 2: Snake Lake Nature Center, Tacoma
Week 3: Memorial Park, Puyallup
Week 4: Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle

On this day at Clark's Creek Park, there was a nice Australian shepherd that was playing with a mom and daughter.  It was a very well-behaved dog.  But when Micah and the daughter happened to be up on a platform and the dog decided to run up to the girl, Micah kind of freaked out.  While I was comforting him, I noticed the dog chasing Levi around the outside of the play structure.  He was freaked out, too, but I am proud that he didn't cry.  And, of course, at that moment the monthly Lahar sirens started going off.  We decided on a change of scenery and went for a nice nature walk along the creek.

At Snake Lake, the boys enjoyed the stuffed animals and puppets in the nature center.
Then we went for a walk on the short trail.  Micah wasn't thrilled.
They have a neat children's play area with a cool climbing rock.  Typical Micah: climbed right up and stood on top.
Typical Levi: climbed up cautiously and remained seated.

Fun at Memorial Park downtown

Okay, you can't see the gorilla, but we had decided he looked like he was thinking.
These giraffes were some of our favorites.
