Play time

Levi is starting to demonstrate much more interest in his toys.  On Saturday I noticed him using his fingers purposefully (instead of just batting at things with his hands).  He even petted my face!  It was so sweet!  He's growing up every day.  We're having to retire most of his three-month clothes.  It's sad for me, but at least he has some great six-month outfits.

Playing in his farm-themed exersaucer for the first time.

This is fun!

Whoa.  That cow is fascinating!

Sitting with Grannie at Nathan's 43rd birthday party.  When Levi is on the
brink of a meltdown, we give him this Baby Einstein toy that plays classical
music and has multi-colored blinking lights.  That usually buys us
another ten minutes of peace.

Tummy time in his activity gym.

Levi is turning out to be a pretty fun kid.  He loves to interact with us; he's always smiling and talking.  Lately he's been drooling a lot, so his conversation is very . . . bubbly.  He is getting really good at standing up (with a little support), and he can sit in the middle of his exer-saucer and actually enjoy himself.  He needs us less and less.  Yesterday he was laying on the floor in front of a mirror, sucking on his hands, and talking to himself for a good fifteen minutes.  He is also starting to get a little naughty.  Usually he is a very focused eater; nothing can distract him from this all-important task.  However, during the last feeding of the evening, just before bedtime, he stops and smiles at me about 20 times.  This little rascal is already employing his cuteness to try to get out of going to bed!

Three Months Old

Today is May 7th, and Levi is three months old.  He is growing so much--every single day it seems!  Lately he has been putting quite a bit of weight on his legs while I hold him in a standing position.  He is trying to grab at things and shove them in his mouth; however, he usually only succeeds in shoving his hands in there.  I'm always wiping drool off of his face and hands.  Levi is a happy boy (most of the time), and he is an excellent sleeper at night.  Now if we could just get him to take good naps during the day. . . .  Here are a few fun pictures taken today.

Um . . . "Little Cutie" is right!

What a charmer!

So far Levi and Oliver get along pretty well.

Just Like Daddy

One of Nathan's coworkers gave Levi this outfit.  A true optometrist's son, isn't he?  In case you can't see it, the onesie says "Mom says if you can read this change my diaper."

Oliver Twist is such a goofy cat!
