Levi's fourth birthday party

Levi wanted another Thomas party!  And when I asked him what kind of cake he wanted, he said, "orange."  Did that mean orange flavor or orange color?  "Orange color!"  But Thomas is blue and red.  How do I make an orange Thomas cake?  Well, I settled for painting Thomas on a white cloud (a cloud is part of his logo) on a cake that is painted like an orange sunset.  (Lately Levi had been talking about "beautiful sunsets.")  It wasn't the most perfect cake, but it turned out better than I thought it would.  Oh, and the inside was chocolate cake with orange creamsicle frosting.  Yum!

We decorated the table with train tracks and trains.  Most of the guests played with the toys as least a little.

At a loss for really clever games, we decided to have a balloon drop.  Ethan, Garret, Levi, and Micah actually really enjoyed both dropping them from above and having the balloons come down on them.

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to rotate this picture.

Levi didn't need any prompting to blow out the candles at the conclusion of the Happy Birthday Song.  He was very pleased with himself.
Happy birthday to our big boy!!!
